Secure loading, whether into a moving truck or a container, utilizes planning, equipment such as straps, clean moving blankets, and careful placement to ensure a safe delivery. If more than one shipment is being transported in a moving truck (common for small shipments traveling long distance), each shipment is secured and partitioned off from its neighbours. All shipments being loaded must be sanitary and hazardous items are not permitted to be transported on a moving van or in a container. A well-maintained fleet of vehicles, with GPS tracking, and experienced, professional drivers is another factor. Finally, regular communication between dispatchers and drivers keeps everyone updated on the progress of the shipment.

If something changes and you decide to pack all or some of your items yourself, just let us know! We'll revise your estimate and adjust your service booking. As with notice for moving services, the sooner you can book the better. During the fall-winter-spring months, there's typically more flexibility and capacity although month-end does book up quickly. Come the summer, a popular time for moving, dates will book very quickly so if you're planning a June move, booking in March or April is not unheard of. In general, one to two months lead time is ideal, if possible. Again, come summer, as much notice as possible is recommended. June-August often sees most moving companies at full capacity.
